What a laundromat needs from its equipment supplier

A laundromat earns money only while its machines are running. That makes three things matter more than the sticker price: how reliable the machines are, how fast someone turns up when one stops, and whether the store was designed so that the machines you bought are the machines the customers actually want to use. Spencer Systems is set up around all three. We hold exclusive Australian distribution for Fagor commercial washers and dryers, we run our own installation and fabrication team, and our mobile technicians service what we sell.

Planning and design

Before any equipment is ordered we look at the site with you: the tenancy size and shape, where the gas, three-phase power, water and drainage come in, where dryer exhaust can be run, and what the local council will want to see. From that we produce a floor plan and an equipment schedule, sized to the demand the location can realistically support rather than to fill the space. Equipment for laundromats

Washers

Fagor washer extractors from 10 kg to 35 kg for a laundromat floor, in hard-mount and suspended models, with high-extract G-force to cut drying time. Touch-screen controls and Fagor Connect remote monitoring are standard, and unlike some suppliers we do not charge for the connectivity.

Dryers

Fagor tumble dryers, single and stacked, gas or electric, from 10 kg to 45 kg. Stacked dryers double capacity on the same floor area, which is usually the constraint in a laundromat.

Payment, dosing and the extras

Card, coin and app payment systems, automatic detergent dosing so customers get a consistent wash, folding tables, seating, vending and signage. We supply and install the lot so the store opens complete.

Installation you do not have to manage

Our own installers and fabricators handle plinths, custom cable tray systems, in-house-made lint traps, dryer flue and ducting, gas trains, switchboards and the services run behind the machines. Crane lifts into difficult sites, after-hours deliveries and shopfront work are routine for us. You get one contractor and one point of accountability instead of coordinating four trades.

Service, chemicals and consumables

Once the store is open we keep it running: programmed preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs by our own technicians, spare parts on the shelf, and detergents and consumables delivered. Laundromat operators can order online with their own pricing.
